Tomorrow we head out of Utah and instead of heading back to Moab and thru Colorado we are going to head South to Santa Fe, New Mexico and stay for two nights. From Santa Fe we will head to Amarillo, Texas for a night and then on to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where we will stay for two nights. The last leg of our trip will be toward Topeka, Kansas and then our final stay in Effingham, Illinois before heading for home. This deviation will hopefully lead to a little easier drive and while only addding 50 miles to our original plan we gain 3 more states for our quest.
I think the kids are excited about the additional states and change in plans however they do miss their loved ones at home. It has been a great trip and we have seen so many great things. As you talk to them please encourage them to enjoy these last few days as this is a trip they will remember for a lifetime!
How exciting!!! Wyatt said he wasn't ready to come home yet but it a little tired of riding in cars. lol Thank you so very much for taking my son on this once of a lifetime trip.
